We stopped by a couple of dollar stores today & found some fun preschool things! :) I found a bingo marker (or dauber) at Dollar Tree & Olivia just loved using it!! DLTK has a bunch of printables to use with the daubers!! Over at the 99 cent store, I picked up some small plastic tongs (4-pk) - which are great for little hands!! - & ice trays (2-pk). We added in our pom poms & had lots of fun!! :)

Valentine Folder Games
A few years ago, I made some file folder matching games - out of Valentine's cards!! (I got the cards AFTER Valentine's Day, when they were super cheap, so that makes them even better!! ;) However, if there's a favorite character you're looking for, it might be worth it to spend a couple dollars & get the cards early, before they're gone!! ;) You can actually make a few sets out of one box of cards!!
I cut off the Valentine's messages & just kept the pictures. I attached one set of cards to cardstock (or could use extra file folders), cut them out, then laminated them with clear Contact paper! I used magnetic tape to help the matches "stick". (I thought this would be nice & quiet if we took them to church! ;) You could also use velcro - - or nothing at all!! For the other set of cards, I glued them onto the file folder, then laminated the folder with clear Contact paper! Easy, peasy!! ;) ** Another idea: use the pictures & attach them to index cards to make a memory game!!

Straw Beads
Anyone else out there have a ton of those plastic kid straws you get from restaurants (or various holidays)?? Well, we do! Or, I should say DID!! :) I cut them up & turned them into "beads"!! :) And - the little centerpieces of the straws (pumpkins, hearts, etc.) can be used to sort, string, count, etc!! Talk about recycling!! :) We haven't used them yet, but Olivia gets them out all the time & wants to "make" something!! Guess I better get on the ball!!

A New Little Face!
Well, sadly, my little man is off to Kindergarten!! :( However, there is a new little face at our Preschool For One!! Introducing. . .
Miss. Olivia!! :) (or aka. "Ladybug")
She's still got a while before Kindergarten, (only like 3 years!! ;), but I'm excited (and she is soooo excited) to begin her educational journey!!
